Audubon is currently seeking a Construction Manager to join our team in our Houston, TX Office. This position requires excellent communication skills, computer skills and high attention to detail. The ability to work independently and in a team environment with co-workers, supervisors, and customers is critical to the success of this position. This candidate will be monitoring all aspects of the general site construction & installation of the civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and commissioning.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review of field site prep drawings
- Monitoring civil contractor on site prep work
- Review of construction drawings and working with general contractor on site work
- Review of installation drawings & working with vendors & contractors to ensure equipment is installed as per OEM recommendations Monitoring vendors & subcontractors on building & enclosures
- Monitoring electrical contractors for initial hookup and checkouts
- Supervises contractor on NDT welding specs and hydro-testing of all pipe spools Monitoring hand-over documentation for commissioning teams
- Monitoring project costs and schedules
- Reports directly to project manager
Health, Safety, and Environmental Responsibilities:

- Performing duties in a manner that protects personal and team health and safety
- Participating in required HSE training, meetings, and reporting activities
- Identifying and reporting hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions
- Following safe work practices and complying with applicable regulatory requirements
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Engineering background helpful, but not required. Process plant construction background is essential
- 25 years in the construction business related to refinery, petroleum, gas, and chemical plant construction
- 15 years in management or supervisory role
- Ability to read schematics, as-builts, 3D models, P&ID's, and isometrics. Managing large multi-disciplined work groups of 100+ personnel
- Time management & schedule oriented Welding codes and weld testing methods HSE background.
