What You’ll Do

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee all aspects of facility operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and design specifications
  • \n
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures to optimize efficiency
  • \n
  • Maintain a site that is inspection-ready and professionally maintained at all times
  • \n

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop site personnel
  • \n
  • Conduct performance reviews and drive professional growth initiatives
  • \n
  • Foster a strong safety culture and accountability across the team
  • \n

Facility & Grounds Management

\n
  • \n
  • Ensure proper maintenance of equipment, infrastructure, and grounds
  • \n
  • Coordinate landscaping, pest control, and overall site upkeep
  • \n
\n


\n

Safety & Compliance

\n
  • \n
  • Partner with Safety leadership to maintain a safe and compliant work environment
  • \n
  • Deliver and document training programs; ensure adherence to policies and regulations
  • \n
\n


\n

Planning, Reporting & Hybrid Work

\n
  • \n
  • Prepare reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) for internal and external stakeholders
  • \n
  • Analyze operational data to identify improvements
  • \n
  • Collaborate remotely with leadership using modern communication tools
  • \n
\n

Maintenance & Resource Management

\n
  • \n
  • Drive preventive maintenance programs and oversee repairs
  • \n
  • Manage contractors and ensure quality and compliance
  • \n
  • Oversee inventory, tools, and equipment procurement
  • \n
\n

Financial & Strategic Input

\n
  • \n
  • Contribute to budgeting and long-term operational planning
  • \n
  • Support capital planning including construction, repairs, and upgrades
  • \n
\n


\n

What You Bring

\n
  • \n
  • Experience: 5+ years in wastewater operations (2+ years leadership required)
  • \n
  • Certification: Maryland I-5 Wastewater License required
  • \n
  • Education: Associate’s degree preferred (HS diploma required)
  • \n
  • Strong knowledge of operations, maintenance, safety practices, and compliance standards
  • \n
  • Ability to interpret technical documents, analyze data, and make informed decisions
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • \n

Physical & Work Environment

\n

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in varying weather and plant conditions
  • \n
  • Comfortable working in industrial environments with exposure to noise, odors, and chemicals (with proper PPE)

Compensation

The expected hiring range for this role is:

  • $100,000 – $150,000 (based on experience, education, and market factors)
  • \n
  • Plus bonus eligibility and full benefits package
