Job Description
The successful candidate will build strong collaborative relationships internally and externally, have strong project and business skills, be well spoken and personable, and be a strong advocate for and leader of the engineering team. Previous project work at pulp mills is required.
- Manage all aspects of business projects from inception through execution
- Develop and document the scope of work
- Understand project success criteria and ensure client expectations are met
- Develop and track project costs
- Identify and communicate changes to SOW
- Identify and effectively respond to clients issues and needs
- Ensure value is provided to the client and develop & earn their trust
- Ensure the clients policies and procedures are communicated and followed and project team
- Review and manage all project deliverables
- Secure resources needed for team to execute work effectively (i.e. drawings, reports, site visits, etc.)
- Ensure PO's are received from the client before work begins and ensure services are rendered within the approved budget; also ensure invoices are paid timely
- Anticipate future work associated or derived from ongoing projects

The Successful Applicant
WHO YOU ARE:
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in engineering
- Project Management experience on engineering projects through installation and start-up/commissioning
- Knowledge of front-end engineering and detailed engineering process
- Experience in managing contractors, sequencing workflow, developing an integrated schedule, managing critical path, and change management.
- Proven Customer Account Manager with experience in developing opportunities within existing clients
- Demonstrated experience in driving projects within budget from initiation through a successful and timely conclusion
- Coordinate and supervise project implementation, control project costs, monitor progress and quality of the projects
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and foster positive client relationships
- Perform activities to improve the reliability and efficiency of operations
