DMG offers a full-line of specialized products and services to respond to the urgent needs associated with global Incident Response, including large-scale turn-key base camp operations for Disaster Response, Medical Facilities, Military, and Industrial applications internationally.Job Details FLSA Status: NonExemptEmployment Status: Full-timePrimary Location: Sumter, SCJob Summary Disaster Management Group LLC (DMG) is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to support our safety and compliance efforts in Sumter, SC. This role is responsible for monitoring workplace conditions, conducting risk assessments, delivering safety training, and ensuring adherence to safety regulations for company and client requirements. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of OSHA regulations and experience in incident investigation, hazard control, risk management, and construction safety program compliance.Responsibilities Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of work areas, equipment, and processesAssist in Project Compliance with all safety rules and regulationsInvestigate accidents and incidents to identify root causes and recommend corrective actionsMaintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and training activitiesLead toolbox talks, safety briefings, and ancillary training sessionsAssist in hazard identification and implement standard control measuresMonitor and report safety performance metrics, trends, and dataAssist with Case Management of injuries/illness and familiarity with OSHA 300 series formsEnsure compliance with OSHA, ANSI and other applicable safety standardsCollaborate with supervisors and employees to promote a positive safety cultureStay current on new and changing safety regulations and best practicesSkills & Experience Minimum 2 years manager experience in a construction safety roleAbility to work autonomously and as part of a teamDetail-oriented with strong analytical and independent problem-solving skillsExperience with working at heights, LOTO, forklift, MEWP, and electrical safety oversightExcellent verbal and written communication abilitiesKnowledge of OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, and other relevant safety standardsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, SharePoint, and Microsoft TeamsSafety certifications Minimum (OSHA 30, EM 385-1-1)CPR/First Aid/AED certification from a U.S. recognized agency valid and currentBilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not mandatoryWork Conditions May be assigned to day or night shifts depending on operationsExtended shifts beyond 12 hours may be requiredMust remain on-site in austere remote location while deployedWork will be conducted in tropical (high temperature/high humidity) environmental conditionsSafety & Quality Compliance Actively champion DMG's culture of safety, accountability, and excellence.Understand and implement DMG's site specific safety plan, SOPs, safety protocols, and operational procedures and processesParticipate in emergency response drills, safety audits, and relevant field committeesConduct daily record-keeping along with weekly, quarterly, and annual inspectionsEducation Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field (or equivalent field safety management experience)NASP, OSHA, FEMA, and BCSP certifications preferredBenefits Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceEEO/Drug Free WorkplaceJob Type: Full‑time#J-18808-Ljbffr
