Implement and support site safety, health, and environmental requirements in accordance with the Safety Management Program

Guide and support project leadership in promoting and sustaining an Incident & Injury Free (IIF) safety culture

Maintain working knowledge of contract specifications and support project execution related to safety, health, and environmental requirements

Monitor onsite construction activities through audits and observations; document deficiencies and corrective actions

Participate in project progress meetings and coordinate with scheduling teams to proactively address potential hazards

Assist and guide site supervisors in the preparation and delivery of safety education and training

Prepare weekly safety reports summarizing daily activities, training conducted, near misses, and incidents

Conduct new-hire safety orientations, project and vessel familiarization walk-arounds, and support implementation of the Green Hat training program

Participate in pre-shift meetings and conduct/review site hazard assessments with crews and project management

Liaise with Division Safety, Health & Environmental leadership to address compliance and safety performance concerns




High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor"s degree preferred in Safety Management, Safety Engineering, or Construction

Candidates with education beyond a Bachelor"s degree should not be submitted

Working knowledge of OSHA construction rules and regulations (veteran or civilian)

Ability to research and interpret federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations

Minimum of 5 years of construction safety experience (veteran or civilian)

OSHA 30 certification required

Knowledge of EM 385-1-1 / U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) safety standards preferred

Strong oral and written communication skills

Computer proficient

Valid driver"s license required (Motor Vehicle Record check conducted during onboarding)

Ability to obtain a TWIC card

Must be able to support 100% field-based travel (domestic initially; potential international travel in the future) and work a 17 days on / 11 days off rotation schedule

All candidates must possess the following:

-OSHA 30-hour training certificate
-EM 385 manual

At least two (2) additional safety certifications from the list below:

-CHST ? Certified Health and Safety Technician (active status required)
-OSHA Fall Protection (#3115)
-OSHA Confined Space (#2264)
-OSHA Respiratory Protection (#2225)
-LOTO (Lockout/Tagout)
Please note that OSHA 500 and OSHA 510 are not required and do not substitute for the certifications listed above, as they do not qualify a candidate in Fall Protection, Confined Space, or Respiratory Safety.
