Job TitleSafety ManagerJob DescriptionServe as the primary safety point of contact for the project site, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local safety regulations. Implement and manage the project's Site-Specific Safety and Health Plan (SSHP), including updates and amendments as necessary. Conduct daily site inspections and safety audits; maintain logs and reports as required. Lead daily safety briefings, weekly toolbox talks, and safety training sessions. Identify potential safety hazards and implement corrective measures. Report and investigate incidents, near-misses, and injuries promptly. Coordinate closely with project managers, subcontractors, and government stakeholders to ensure safety measures are upheld across all teams. Maintain proper documentation, including Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), safety meeting records, and safety certifications. Ensure compliance with EM 385-1-1 and other applicable safety standards, especially on DoD or federally funded projects.The Successful ApplicantMinimum of five years of construction safety experience, with at least three years on federal contracts or military installations preferred. OSHA 30-Hour Construction Training certification is required. EM 385-1-1 training and familiarity with its implementation on site. First Aid/CPR certification. Demonstrated experience managing site safety on complex, active construction or energy retrofit projects. Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Prior experience working on Energy Savings Performance Contracts (ESPC) or energy-related projects is a plus. Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and pass applicable background checks (including for federal sites).What's on OfferCompetitive salary based on experience.
