SITE SAFETY LEAD


Position Overview


The Site Safety Lead will support all safety activities at an assigned construction project and serve as the primary safety resource for field operations. This position will work closely with project leadership, craft personnel, and customers to promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all company and customer safety requirements.


Key Responsibilities


• Support and maintain the project Site Safety Plan.


• Participate in daily toolbox talks and pre-task planning activities.


• Conduct routine field observations, safety inspections, and crew audits.


• Review Job Safety Plans (JSPs) and high-risk work activities.


• Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns and assist with corrective actions.


• Track and communicate safety trends and leading indicators.


• Complete safety observations, step cards, and good catch reporting.


• Maintain accurate safety documentation, training records, and inspection reports.


• Facilitate safety meetings with project leadership and field personnel.


• Participate in emergency response planning and drills.


• Serve as a visible safety presence in the field and build strong working relationships with operations teams and craft employees.


Qualifications


• Minimum 3 years of construction safety experience.


• OSHA 30 Construction certification required.


• First Aid/CPR/AED certification preferred.


• Experience supporting active construction, industrial, power generation, utility, refinery, or contractor work environments preferred.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to work onsite daily and actively engage with field personnel.


• Safety degree, CHST, ASP, CSP, STSC, or similar certifications are a plus.


This position is primarily focused on supporting a major project in the Milwaukee/Oak Creek area and is not a regional or multi-site safety management role.
