Site Safety Leader

A nationally recognized commercial general contractor is seeking a Site Safety Leader to support large-scale construction projects throughout the Austin area. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced safety professional who enjoys working closely with field operations, building relationships, and making a meaningful impact on every project.

What You'll Do
As the Site Safety Leader, you'll be responsible for helping foster a proactive safety culture across the jobsite while partnering with project teams to ensure every employee and trade partner returns home safely each day.
Responsibilities include:
Lead and support all onsite safety initiatives.
Conduct daily jobsite safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
Partner with Superintendents, Project Managers, subcontractors, and owners to maintain a safe work environment.
Conduct new hire orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety training.
Assist with incident investigations and recommend corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
Help develop project-specific safety plans for high-risk activities.
Promote a culture built on accountability, communication, and continuous improvement.
Serve as a trusted safety resource for project teams throughout construction.
Qualifications
Minimum 3+ years of construction safety experience with a commercial General Contractor preferred.
OSHA 30 Certification required.
Experience conducting safety orientations, inspections, and training.
Strong understanding of OSHA standards and commercial construction safety practices.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work effectively with field teams, subcontractors, and project leadership.
Comfortable working in an active construction environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
CHST Certification or ability to obtain within six months
OSHA 500 Certification or eligibility to obtain
First Aid / CPR / AED Certification
Experience with large commercial construction projects
