East & Westbrook Construction is seeking an experienced Site Safety Manager to provide hands-on safety leadership at our construction project sites. This role works directly with project leadership and craft employees to identify hazards, strengthen safe work practices, and maintain compliance with applicable safety requirements.

What You'll Do
Conduct regular inspections of project sites, equipment, work areas, and processes.
Identify hazards, unsafe conditions, and unsafe work practices, and ensure concerns are addressed promptly.
Plan and coordinate work with project leadership to eliminate hazards, reduce risk, and prevent injuries or property damage.
Partner with project managers and company leadership to develop and implement effective site-specific safety plans.
Provide visible, hands-on safety leadership to management and craft employees.
Facilitate or participate in incident investigations and near-miss reporting.
Help communicate safety expectations through jobsite meetings, coaching, and training.
Monitor compliance with applicable federal, state, and local safety requirements.
Reinforce the proper use of personal protective equipment and established safety procedures.
Maintain clear and accurate safety documentation and reports.
Required Qualifications
Current OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum five (5) years of construction safety experience, including experience on concrete, civil, industrial, commercial, or heavy construction projects
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazard recognition, incident investigation, and construction risk mitigation
Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence both management and craft employees
Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certification
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to conduct site audits, safety inspections, toolbox talks, and safety training
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated experience supporting concrete operations, including formwork, reinforcing steel, concrete placement, finishing, excavation, and related jobsite hazards
CSP, CHST, OHST, or similar safety certification
Experience managing safety on self-perform concrete construction projects
Experience with crane activities, rigging, fall protection, excavation, confined space entry, and lockout/tagout programs
Work Environment
This position works in active construction environments, both indoors and outdoors, and may require walking or standing for extended periods. The role may also involve climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and occasionally lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling materials. Work may take place in various geographic locations.
