Position Overview:
Kenco Group is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Site Shuttle Driver for our Evansville, IN location. This role is responsible for the safe and timely transport of goods between warehouses using a diesel tractor and trailer. The successful candidate will possess a valid Class A CDL and a strong commitment to adhering to all safety and regulatory guidelines. This is a local shuttle position, ensuring drivers are home every night.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport freight between warehouses and production facilities according to scheduled routes
  • Operate a diesel tractor with an automatic or manual transmission, as well as yard spotter trucks when needed.
  • Transport drive-in and refrigerated trailers
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring equipment is fueled and in good working order
  • Maintain accurate driver logs, trip reports, and other required documentation
  • Follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety regulations, while maintaining a professional demeanor on the road
  • Adhere to company policies, participate in mandatory training, and ensure assigned vehicles are clean and well-maintained
  • Be accountable for all assigned tools and equipment
  • Work overtime and weekends as required to support customer production needs

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of Class A driving experience
  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Hazmat endorsement (or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire, reimbursed by the employer)
  • Compliance with FMCSA and company driving requirements
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
