Mid-Atlantic Region (Regional Project Sites)
Our client is a leading general contractor with a fast-growing team. They are seeking an experienced, proactive Site Superintendent to lead on-site execution for high-capacity, industrial facility buildouts. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality, fully functional design-build facilities through deep technical equipment knowledge, rigorous subcontractor oversight, and a strong culture of safety and teamwork.
The ideal candidate brings a humble, self-motivated approach, deep mechanical/millwright expertise, and the ability to maintain strong, uplifting communication with clients, trade partners, and engineering teams.
On-Site Execution & Schedule Leadership
Direct daily job-site operations, trade sequencing, and construction processes to ensure projects are delivered on time and according to design specifications.
Manage the safe and efficient utilization of rental equipment, mobile cranes, and mechanical/electric hoisting systems.
Maintain constant visibility over project milestones; proactively communicate potential schedule adjustments or site challenges to Project Managers and subcontractors.
Act as the first line of defense for scope management promptly identifying variances and ensuring trade contractors communicate cost changes before proceeding with work.
Safety Culture & Quality Assurance
Champion a zero-incident safety culture by leading by example, enforcing 100% compliance with company and client safety protocols, and conducting on-site safety orientations.
Perform structured quality control audits at regular intervals throughout the construction lifecycle, verifying work against engineering prints, approval drawings, and equipment specifications.
Review construction documentation and provide practical, buildability feedback to the internal engineering and design team.
Evaluate subcontractor capabilities, allocate oversight accordingly, identify field training opportunities, and foster a collaborative environment grounded in clear expectations and accountability.
Extensive hands-on supervisory experience in large-scale agricultural, industrial, or bulk processing construction projects.
Advanced working knowledge of core industrial construction methods: structural steel erection, excavation, millwright operations, and mechanical equipment installation.
Strong plan-reading skills with the ability to interpret complex architectural, structural, and equipment layout drawings.
Working knowledge of basic metal fabrication and field assembly practices.
High proficiency in heavy rigging, hoisting, and crane pick plans using winches and crane equipment.
Must be capable of safely climbing vertically and working at elevated heights in excess of 150 feet.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs / 35 kg; ability to stand, walk, and inspect active job sites across extended periods and varying weather conditions.
