Lead Luxury Manhattan Residential Projects
Our client is an established Manhattan General Contractor specializing in luxury residential gut renovations for high-net-worth individuals and discerning homeowners. Their portfolio includes single-family apartments and condos, townhomes, and penthouses throughout Manhattan, with projects involving high-end finishes and complex interior construction. Job Description
- Take full responsibility for day-to-day field operations on assigned projects.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and trade partners.
- Develop and maintain project schedules and ensure milestones are met.
- Coordinate daily activities with the Project Manager and project team.
- Review architectural drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.
- Monitor quality control and ensure work meets project specifications.
- Coordinate inspections, deliveries, building access, and site logistics.
- Identify potential schedule, quality, or coordination issues and proactively resolve them.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized jobsite.
- Conduct regular site walks and track project progress.
- Coordinate with architects, designers, owners, and building management.
- Manage punch-list activities and project closeout.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Site Superintendent should have:
- 5+ years of construction experience, with significant Site Superintendent experience preferred.
- Strong background in high-end residential construction and gut renovations.
- Experience with apartments, condos, townhomes, penthouses, or similar luxury residential projects.
- Strong understanding of NYC construction practices, sequencing, and site logistics.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors and multiple trades simultaneously.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
- Procore or other construction management software experience is a plus.
