About Us:Team Sunshine Construction is a leader in solar and renewable energy solutions, committed to delivering high-quality, sustainable energy systems for homes and businesses. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Site Survey Technician to join our team.
Position Summary:This is a part-time weekend position based out of our warehouse in Hudson, MA. The Site Survey Technician will travel throughout New England to support our solar installation projects by conducting accurate site and HVAC assessments during the pre-installation process.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in gathering all necessary information for solar and HVAC system design and installation, as well as identifying and troubleshooting potential issues to ensure seamless project execution. Candidates must be comfortable with frequent travel and long drives.
Qualifications
Previous solar experience is a plus.
HVAC knowledge or experience conducting HVAC surveys is strongly preferred.
Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.
Must be a motivated team player, looking to succeed.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to interact with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to transport materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks (up to 50 pounds frequently).
Ability to work within the safe range of equipment such as ladders and personal protective equipment; must be able to get on the roof.
Responsibilities
Perform site survey appointments as scheduled, collecting site and HVAC information and preparing deliverable packages for downstream teams.
Conduct HVAC surveys, including evaluating existing HVAC systems, equipment placement, ducting, and electrical requirements.
Provide detailed information regarding structural, electrical, and HVAC systems.
Gather data on roof condition, shading, and other factors that may affect solar system performance.
Safely perform drone operations in residential areas that are FAA approved for flight.
Take precise measurements and document site-specific information.
Interact with homeowners and business owners to explain the solar and HVAC installation process and answer questions.
Follow organizational policies and procedures, including OSHA requirements.
