Position Overview
THE SKATESIDE is seeking enthusiastic, responsible, and dependable individuals to join our Summer Camp team in Glendale / Crescenta Valley.
As a Summer Camp Counselor, you will work directly with children in a fun, structured, and supportive environment while helping campers improve their skateboarding skills and confidence.
We're looking for individuals who enjoy working with kids, love being active, and want to make a positive impact in their community.
Responsibilities
- Supervise campers throughout daily activities
- Assist coaches with skateboarding instruction
- Ensure all campers follow safety guidelines
- Encourage participation and positive behavior
- Help with camp setup and breakdown
- Support beginner skaters as they learn new skills
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and fun environment
- Communicate professionally with staff and families
Qualifications
- Experience working with children is preferred
- Skateboarding experience is preferred but not required
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Positive attitude and strong communication skills
- Comfortable working outdoors
- Able to stay active throughout the shift
- Passionate about mentoring and encouraging youth
