Massanutten Resort is seeking a SkiLift Mechanic/Electrician to join our Ski Maintenance team. This is not your typical maintenance position. You will play a critical role in maintaining the aerial lifts and surface conveyors that power our mountain operations, working alongside a skilled team focused on safety, reliability, and excellence.
What You Will Do
As a Lift Mechanic/Electrician, you'll help keep our mountain moving by:
- Performing routine maintenance on aerial lifts, our Mountain Mayhem Coaster, and surface conveyor
- Troubleshooting electrical systems and wiring issue
- Conducting preventative maintenance inspections and repair
- Installing and maintaining slope lighting systems
- Assisting with mechanical repairs and operational improvement
- Maintaining a safe, organized work environment
- Collaborating with fellow technicians to ensure safe and efficient operations
What We Are Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Have experience with basic hand tools
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Comfortable working at heights up to 70 feet
- Ability to lift to 100 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Vocational training in electrical or mechanical trades
- Lift operations experience
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Equipment operation experience
- Valid driver's license with an approved driving record

Typical Schedule
Days:
- Spring/Summer: Monday–Thursday, weekends and holidays required when aerial lift is operating
- Fall/Winter: Monday–Friday, weekends and holidays required
Hours:
- Spring/Summer: 7am–5pm, additional hours as needed
- Winter: 7am–5pm, occasional late evenings as needed
Core Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on aerial lifts, the Mountain Mayhem Coaster, and surface conveyors
- Troubleshoot electrical wiring
- Conduct preventative maintenance checks
- Install new lighting systems
- Maintain a clean work area
- Other duties as assigned by management
Compensation
Pay: $15.50 | Hourly
