Osborne is hiring a Skilled Laborer to support our local commercial construction projects, property maintenance, and facilities work in the Topeka area. We're looking for someone who enjoys hands-on work, is comfortable around tools and equipment, takes pride in quality results, and is ready to contribute to a hardworking team.

No formal construction background is required; we value reliability, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. Candidates with experience in construction, maintenance, agriculture, manufacturing, or other hands-on environments are encouraged to apply.

YOU MAY BE A GREAT FIT IF YOU:

• Have experience with hands-on work in construction, maintenance, agriculture, manufacturing, or a similar environment
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable working with tools and equipment

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

This role supports Osborne's local work in the Topeka area, giving you exposure across our operations:

• Provide general labor support including material handling, site cleanup, staging, and tool preparation
• Assist skilled tradespeople and crew foremen with day-to-day tasks
• Learn to safely operate hand and power tools
• Support general repairs and upkeep on Osborne's locally owned real estate
• Assist with routine property maintenance such as grounds upkeep and seasonal tasks
• Assist with Facility Maintenance client service requests and work orders under supervision
• Learn to safely operate equipment such as skid steers, forklifts, or similar machinery as needed

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING:

• Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
• Ability to perform physical job duties, including lifting, standing, walking, bending, and working outdoors in varying conditions
• General comfort working with tools, equipment, and machinery
• Willingness to learn and take direction
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Successful completion of required pre-employment screening, which may include a background check, drug screening, and physical capacity evaluation consistent with job requirements

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

• $19-$23/hour depending on experience
