We are currently hiring a Skilled Exhibit Carpenter / Fabricator for one of our clients. This position is ideal for an experienced carpenter, cabinet maker, woodworker, or exhibit fabricator who can work independently and produce high-quality custom components and assemblies.
The Carpenter will work as part of a team producing and repairing tradeshow exhibits, retail displays, and permanent structures, while working from drawings and specifications to complete projects accurately and efficiently.
Schedule:
Monday–Thursday: 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
Friday & Saturday: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Mandatory overtime
Responsibilities:
Laminate exhibit and display components
Work from scaled drawings to produce components and complete assemblies
Construct and refurbish exhibit, retail, and permanent structures
Work with materials including plywood, MDF, acrylic, and metal
Install lighting, audio/visual, and graphic components according to design and construction drawings
Assemble and install custom structures in tradeshow, retail, and corporate environments
Customize and pack crates internally
Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment
Perform raw material inventory cycle counts when assigned
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse/workspace
Properly maintain company equipment
Communicate professionally and effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and customers
Qualifications:
Previous experience in carpentry, cabinet building, woodworking furniture, or retail store fixtures
Skilled user of woodworking saws, power tools, and hand tools
Experience working with high-pressure plastic laminates
Ability to read and work from scaled drawings and detailed work orders
Ability to work independently after receiving an assignment
Mechanically inclined with strong manual dexterity
Ability to lift 50+ pounds
Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
Willingness to work overtime and weekends during peak seasons
Forklift experience is a plus; certification can be provided after hire
Basic computer skills are a plus
Knowledge of CNC setup, machining, and operation is a plus
Work Environment:
This position reports to the Production Foreman and focuses primarily on carpentry and fabrication work in a fast-paced tradeshow exhibit environment. Candidates must be able to work efficiently while maintaining quality standards and meeting strict project deadlines.
