We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Skilled Industrial Painter position at a local steel mill in Youngstown, OH. If you are experienced in industrial painting and ready to work in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.

Hours
1st Shift, 00:00:00 – 12:00:01

Pay
$17.00 - $24.00/hour

Key Responsibilities

• File, grind, sand, and smooth filled or repaired surfaces using power tools and hand tools
• Inspect repaired surfaces and ensure proper function, appearance, and alignment
• Fit and weld replacement parts, grind down welds to smooth surfaces
• Prime and paint repaired surfaces with HVLP spray guns and motorized sanders
• Follow supervisor instructions on which parts to restore or replace and estimated timeframes
• Observe safety rules and keep work area clean and organized

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to follow supervisor’s instructions
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including design, use, repair, and maintenance
• Understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and costs
• Ability to visualize outcomes after moving or rearranging parts
• Ability to organize actions according to rules or patterns

Nice to Have Skills

• Welding experience
• Heavy industrial work background
• Steel priming and painting skills
• Proficiency with HVLP spray equipment

Preferred Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous industrial painting experience

Other Requirements

• Respond quickly to sounds and visual cues
• Ability to wear PPE correctly
• Capable of lifting up to 70 lbs
