Commercial General Laborer

Skillforce is currently seeking motivated Commercial General Laborers for a large commercial construction project in Baltimore, MD. This is a 6-month contract with strong potential for extension based on project needs. Ideal candidates will have prior experience on commercial job sites and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, labor-intensive environment. Laborers will work 58 hours weekly (5/10s and 1/8). Pay is $27.98/hr.

Responsibilities:

• Assist crews with general construction tasks including site cleanup, material handling, and basic installation work
• Load and unload tools, equipment, and materials
• Support carpenters, equipment operators, and other trades as needed
• Operate basic hand tools and power tools safely
• Set up and take down barricades, signage, and temporary structures
• Ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and safe
• Follow instructions from Foreman or Site Supervisors and communicate issues promptly
• Comply with all company and site-specific safety policies
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• At least 1–2 years of commercial construction labor experience preferred
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs., stand, bend, and work outdoors for extended periods
• Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
• Ability to pass all pre-employment screenings, drug screen and background check
• OSHA 10 required
