Job Summary

Carpentry Preferred: We are seeking a detail-oriented Skilled Maintenance Specialist (Carpentry) to join our PUHSD Maintenance team. This role is dedicated to the craftsmanship, structural integrity, and aesthetic upkeep of our facilities, ranging from custom fabrication to essential structural repairs. Key Responsibilities • Structural Repair & Installation: Repair and maintain floors, walls, ceilings, roofs, ramps, and windows to ensure safety and structural soundness. • Fabrication: Build, install, and customize wooden structures and articles, including partitions, counters, furniture, and doors. • Finish Work: Expertly repair wallboard, stucco, and sheetrock to maintain high- quality interior and exterior finishes. • Hardware & Security: Install and repair architectural hardware, locks, and security devices. • Logistics & Planning: Read and interpret blueprints and technical plans to execute projects accurately. Order and organize materials to ensure efficient project timelines. • Tool Stewardship: Safely operate and maintain a wide array of professional carpentry tools and shop equipment. Preferred: • Experience in commercial facility maintenance repairs or renovation. • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship. Hours: 8 hours per day, 5 days per week (7:00 am - 3:30 pm) The successful candidate will be required to complete DOJ clearance, DMV pull notice, a post-offer/pre-placement screening exam, and pre-employment online training.
