MIG Welder / Fabricator (Cedar Rapids, IA - $20-$26/hr)

We are seeking skilled MIG Welders / Fabricators to join our team in a stable and growing manufacturing environment. This position is a great fit for individuals with hands-on welding experience who are looking for consistent hours, competitive pay, and long-term career advancement.

What You'll Do

• Perform MIG welding on aluminum and/or steel components

• Weld, tack, and assemble parts according to specifications and drawings

• Read and interpret basic blueprints and measurements

• Fabricate components using .035 wire and standard welding processes

• Weld in various positions, including flat and vertical

• Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and consistency

• Use hand tools, grinders, and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 6 months of MIG welding experience

• At least 1 year of welding experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or shop environment

• Experience working with aluminum and/or steel

• Ability to read a tape measure and basic blueprints

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)

• Fabrication or mechanical assembly experience

• Experience with flux-core or TIG welding

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar Rapids, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
