About Road Wrench

Road Wrench is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to join its growing mobile fleet repair team in West Chicago, Illinois. This family-owned company offers hourly pay of $25-$40 per hour, a four-day workweek, and the opportunity to work independently without weekends. Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair commercial diesel trucks and fleet vehicles at customer locations.
• Perform mechanical and electrical diagnostics using OEM diagnostic software and scan tools.
• Service commercial diesel platforms including Freightliner, International, Hino, Isuzu, Kenworth, and other fleet vehicles.
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
• Operate a company-provided mobile service truck throughout the workday.
• Deliver professional customer service while working independently in the field.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of diesel repair experience required.
• Strong diesel diagnostic and repair experience.
• Experience using OEM diagnostic software and scan tools.
• Professional tool set appropriate for your experience level.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with commercial fleet repair preferred.
• Experience with Cummins diagnostic software and Autel diagnostic equipment preferred.
• Master Technician or A-Level diesel experience preferred.
• CDL is a plus.
