SL 1st Shift Operator

Position Summary

Fibertex Nonwovens is seeking a reliable SL Night Shift Operator to operate, monitor, and maintain production equipment while ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards are achieved. The ideal candidate will have manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production machinery to ensure efficient production flow.
• Perform machine startups, shutdowns, and product changeovers as required.
• Conduct routine quality checks and inspections to ensure products meet specifications.
• Monitor equipment performance and make adjustments to maintain optimal operation.
• Troubleshoot minor mechanical or operational issues and communicate larger concerns to maintenance or supervision.
• Accurately complete production reports, quality records, and shift documentation.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with company housekeeping and safety standards.
• Assist with material handling and production support activities as needed.
• Follow all company safety, quality, and operational procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing or machine operating experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer, math, and documentation skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products.
• Forklift experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout a 12-hour shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.

Schedule

Night Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:00 PM
2-2-4 Rotating Schedule

Payrate:

$19.00/hr
