Role: Slalom Flex (Project Based) - Product Owner - Data

Location: Denver Metro Area

  • Please note: This role is not eligible for remote work. Employees must live within a commutable distance of the Denver Metro Area and willing to be onsite in the South Denver area 3-5 days/wk.*

Who You Are

Slalom Denver is seeking an experienced Data Product Owner / Product Manager with a strong background in data-driven products to join our growing Delivery capability team. In this role, you will partner with business stakeholders, data and analytics teams, engineers, architects, and executives to define, prioritize, and deliver high-value data products and platform capabilities.

What You'll Do

  • Define and manage the vision, roadmap, and backlog for data products and data platform capabilities
  • Translate business objectives into measurable product outcomes, KPIs, features, epics, and user stories
  • Partner with business, analytics, engineering, architecture, and governance teams to define and prioritize data product investments
  • Drive discovery activities to identify business use cases, data requirements, adoption opportunities, and value realization metrics
  • Own backlog prioritization and roadmap decisions based on business value, customer needs, technical dependencies, and strategic objectives
  • Facilitate data domain workshops to align stakeholders on priorities, definitions, ownership, business rules, and success measures
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, architects, and reporting teams to deliver trusted, reusable, and scalable data products
  • Define and monitor data product KPIs, adoption metrics, data quality measures, and business outcomes
  • Partner with data governance teams to ensure alignment with privacy, security, compliance, and access control requirements
  • Support delivery of analytics, reporting, AI, and operational data solutions that improve decision-making and business performance
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear business impacts and executive-ready communications
  • Serve as the primary liaison between stakeholders and delivery teams, ensuring alignment between near-term execution and long-term product strategy
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools to accelerate product discovery, documentation, backlog creation, requirements management, and SDLC artifacts

What You'll Bring

  • 7+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, Program Management, or related delivery leadership roles

  • Experience leading data products, analytics platforms, business intelligence initiatives, data modernization programs, or enterprise data platforms

  • Strong understanding of data concepts including:

  • Data products

  • Data domains

  • Data governance

  • Data quality

  • Data cataloging

  • Data lineage

  • Reporting and analytics

  • Modern cloud data platforms

  • Demonstrated experience managing product roadmaps, feature prioritization, backlog refinement, and stakeholder alignment

  • Experience partnering with data engineers, architects, analytics teams, and business stakeholders

  • Strong ability to define KPIs, success metrics, and value realization frameworks for data products

  • Proven ability to balance delivery execution with longer-term product strategy and vision

  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, SAFe, Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar delivery frameworks

  • Experience using AI tools within the Google ecosystem and modern product delivery environments

  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and executive stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to challenge assumptions, facilitate decision-making, and drive outcomes through influence rather than authority

  • Ability to be onsite daily in the Denver Metro Area

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the hourly pay range is $62 to $69/HR depending on experience. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors.
