Job Summary and Qualifications

What you will do in this role:

· You will verify the medical order and procedure. 

· You will gather data through PSG studies. 

· You will complete and verify documentation.

· You will perform a variety of Sleep Studies, as well as assist in the scoring of those Sleep Studies after a specified period of time. 

· You will promote a supportive environment that encourages collegiality. 

· You will explain the procedure and orient the patient to the sleep center.

· Sleep Study procedures require rational judgment, as well as associated clerical duties. He/she works to fulfill the hospital and departmental mission, vision, and values.

       

    What qualifications you will need:
    • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
    • Completion of an approved Sleep Disorder program required
    • (RST) Registered Sleep Technologist, or (RPSGT) Registered Polysomnographic Technologist, or (SDS) Sleep Disorder Specialist, or Bachelors Degree, or Associate Degree must be obtained within 2 years of employment start date
    • Must possess basic computer skills
