Job Summary
Provides comprehensive care for patients undergoing sleep studies and sleep disorder treatment. Responsible for the preparation, execution, monitoring, and interpretation of polysomnographic procedures and associated technologies. Educates patients and families on sleep-related concerns, coordinates care with interdisciplinary teams and ensures high-quality standards of practice within an acute care setting.

Basic Life Support (BLS)
Certification or registry by one of the following:
Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) by BRPT
Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) by ABSM
Sleep Disorders Specialist (SDS) by NBRC
Equivalent examination accepted by the AASM If not registered, must be accepted to sit for the registry exam and pass within time frame required by facility policy
