Job Title: Sleep Technologist / Polysomnographic Technologist
Location: The Woodlands, TX
Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks, with possibility of extension)
Schedule:
- Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Hours: 36 hours per week
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Polysomnographic Technologist (Sleep Tech) to perform overnight sleep studies in a clinical setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting diagnostic testing, monitoring patients, and ensuring safe, high-quality care throughout the sleep study process.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare for and conduct overnight sleep studies following physician orders and protocols
- Review patient history, medications, and sleep patterns prior to testing
- Monitor patients throughout sleep studies and ensure accurate data collection
- Perform complex sleep study procedures and evaluations
- Maintain and operate sleep lab equipment according to safety and sanitation standards
- Provide age-appropriate care to patients across all populations
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with clinical guidelines
- Support patient safety and comfort throughout the testing process
- Participate in training, mentoring, and ongoing professional development
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)
- Strong clinical and technical skills in sleep studies
- Ability to work independently in a night shift environment
Certifications & Licensure:
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 75–100 lbs and carry up to 30 lbs as needed
- Ability to work overnight shifts in a clinical setting
