Slide Attendant Position Summary
Slide attendants monitor waterslides, towers, and dispatch areas, assist guests, and support a safe, organized, and enjoyable experience throughout the parks attractions.
Essential Functions
- Maintains surveillance of slides, towers, and dispatch areas.
- Controls slide flow and guest organization to ensure safe operations.
- Responds to guest and employee emergencies and alerts appropriate personnel.
- Maintains proficiency in park knowledge, basic life support, and first aid skills.
- Attends scheduled trainings and participates in regular skill audits.
- Maintains cleanliness and safety of assigned areas.
- Practices safe work habits, including proper lifting and hazard reporting.
- Works effectively as part of a team.
- Provides professional, friendly service to all guests.
- Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to remain calm, recognize safety concerns, and make sound decisions.
- Willingness to comply with grooming guidelines and employment standards.
- Ability to successfully complete all legal, company, and departmental training requirements.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions.
- Ability to bend, reach, climb stairs, and respond quickly to operational needs.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry equipment with or without reasonable accommodation.
Pre-Employment & Certification Requirements
Employment in this position is contingent upon obtaining SGEB Basic Life Support certification and completion of all required training programs. Hawaiian Falls hosts pre-employment certification classes at an approximate cost of $25, which covers the certification course.
