Slitting Machine Operator

Job Summary

The Slitting Operator II will operate slitting and rewinding equipment to process raw materials, medical tapes, and coated drug laminates and films. This role requires strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality, safety, and cGMP compliance while accurately completing manufacturing documentation.

Responsibilities

\n

• \n
• Operate and set up slitting and rewinding equipment, including wind direction and tension settings.
• \n
• Process raw materials, medical tapes, coated laminates, and films according to MBRs and SOPs.
• \n
• Perform in-process checks and accurately complete batch records and manufacturing documentation.
• \n
• Safely use slitting tools, machine components, and related equipment.
• \n
• Label, package, and prepare finished materials for transfer or shipment.
• \n
• Clean equipment and maintain a safe, organized production area.
• \n
• Follow cGMP, safety, environmental, and manufacturing procedures.
• \n
• Support efficient production operations and identify or address issues as needed.

Qualifications

\n

• \n
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• \n
• 4–5 years of production or manufacturing experience.
• \n
• Ability to read, write, communicate clearly, and perform basic math.
• \n
• Experience operating basic tools, equipment, and manufacturing machinery.
• \n
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately complete production records.
• \n
• Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, respirators, gloves, and Tyvek suits.
• \n
• Experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, or other regulated manufacturing environments preferred.
