Job Title: SLW Warehouse Associate (2nd Shift; 4 Openings 1-Year Contract Assignment))
Location: Arden, NC 28704 
Pay rate: $17.83/hr base rate + $2.00/hr 2nd Shift Differential = $19.83/hr 
Work schedule: 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday, 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM EST (40.0 hours/week) Sunday overtime hours may be available

Overview
The SLW Warehouse Associate I performs order picking, induction, packing, and material movement at Hubbell's Arden, NC distribution facility. Operating powered material handling equipment including forklifts, stock pickers, reach trucks, and pallet jacks, this role ensures accurate order fulfillment, performs loading/unloading operations, executes receiving inspections, and maintains clean, safe warehouse conditions (5S).

Job Specifications

• Accurately build, pick, pack, label, and weigh customer orders using material handling equipment to prepare shipments for transport
• Safely operate forklifts, stock pickers, reach trucks, and electric/manual pallet jacks to transfer, stack, and store inventory
• Efficiently load and unload freight, verify item counts, and inspect incoming/outgoing shipments for damage
• Execute order induction, repackaging, strapping, sorting, and staging activities according to operational procedures
• Complete required warehouse paperwork and log inventory updates accurately
• Perform routine battery changing/charging and basic daily maintenance inspections on powered industrial equipment
• Assist with physical inventory counts, cycle checks, and facility sanitation/5S organization
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Practical experience operating forklifts, stock pickers, reach trucks, and powered pallet jacks required
• Knowledge of standard warehouse material handling practices, inventory controls, and safety procedures required
• Basic mathematical proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and basic problem-solving skills required
• Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written and verbal operational instructions in English
• Physical capabilities: Ability to perform manual labor for 8+ hours per shift, lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist repetitively, and stand/walk continuously throughout the shift
