    Small Animal Veterinarian (Emergency VET) –  Havelock, NC

     

    A veterinary hospital is seeking an Emergency Associate Veterinarian (DVM) to join its fast-paced, collaborative team. This role offers the opportunity to manage a wide range of urgent and emergent cases while working in a well-equipped facility with strong technical support. This position is ideal for both experienced emergency veterinarians and early-career DVMs looking to build confidence and expand their clinical skills in a supportive environment.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Provide emergency medical and surgical care for small animal patients

    • Perform diagnostic evaluations and develop treatment plans

    • Utilize advanced diagnostic tools such as digital radiography, ultrasound, and in-house laboratory equipment

    • Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care

    • Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to deliver high-quality patient care

    • Coordinate with referring veterinarians to ensure continuity of care

     

    Qualifications:

    • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree.

    • Eligibility for veterinary licensure in North Carolina.

    • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting.

    • Compassionate, team-oriented approach to patient care.
