Role Snapshot
Hourly: $23.00–$25.00 + Monthly Bonus
Core Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair systems/components across commercial cleaning, restoration, and surface‑prep equipment
- Service portfolio includes: truck‑mounted carpet cleaning units; portable carpet extractors; hard‑surface floor machines; duct cleaning and deodorizing gear; dehumidifiers; air scrubbers; air movers; HEPA vacuums; and 2, 3 & 4‑cylinder gas engines (plus basic automotive‑type systems)
- Leverage test instruments, troubleshooting flowcharts, and manufacturer repair manuals for accurate fixes
- Open service orders; schedule repairs; and maintain appointments in service software
- Build bids/estimates and present recommendations to customers via phone, email, or in person
- Order parts; coordinate with vendors; and balance shop workload with other technicians
- Adhere to shop tool care standards; maintain clean, organized, safe work areas
- Collaborate effectively with supervisors, technicians, and store staff; assist teammates as needed
- Achieve departmental quality and productivity goals
Qualifications
- Preferred: 2+ years in one or more of the following—commercial cleaning/restoration equipment; small engine service; pressure washer service; vehicle repair/maintenance
- Valid driver’s license; clean 3‑year MVR with no DUIs or careless/reckless driving
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Own a basic mechanic’s tool set
- High technical proficiency, mechanical aptitude, and strong attention to detail
- Efficient, accurate diagnostics and troubleshooting skills
- Safety‑minded; uses PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.) at all times
- Ability to produce quality work on schedule; lift 50+ lbs routinely
- Professional presence; clear written and verbal communication; basic computer skills
- Occasional overtime availability
- Bilingual English/Spanish a bonus

- Communicate findings and additional service needs clearly
- Coordinate appointment times and repair timelines proactively
- Present transparent estimates before work proceeds
