    Role Description The Small Engine Mechanic role is a full-time, on-site position based at CDI Lawn Equipment in Collegeville, PA. In this role, the mechanic inspects, diagnoses, and repairs small engines and related equipment, including lawn mowers, trimmers, and other outdoor power tools. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, ordering and installing parts, and testing equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation. The mechanic also maintains accurate service records, keeps the work area organized, and may assist with customer questions about equipment performance and care. Collaboration with the parts and sales teams is expected to ensure timely, high-quality service.

    • Candidates should possess strong skills in Small Engine Repair and general Maintenance & Repair of outdoor power equipment.

    • Candidates should possess experience with Hydraulic Systems as they relate to lawn and turf equipment.
    • \n
    • Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting abilities for mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues.
    • \n
    • Candidates should possess familiarity with Heavy Equipment used in landscaping or grounds maintenance.
    • \n
    • Additional beneficial qualifications include basic electrical and fuel system knowledge, ability to read service manuals and schematics, and proficiency with hand and power tools.
    • \n
    • Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and time-management skills are important for success in this role.
    • \n
    • Prior experience as a small engine or equipment mechanic is preferred; relevant certifications or technical training are a plus.
    • \n
    • Ability to work on-site in Collegeville, PA, lift moderate weights, and stand for extended periods is required.
