As a Small Engine Technician, you’ll play a critical role in helping customers keep their equipment operating at peak performance.
You’ll diagnose issues, complete repairs efficiently, communicate clearly with customers and teammates, and help create an outstanding service experience from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
-Equipment Diagnostics & Repair
- Diagnose and repair small engines and outdoor power equipment
- Perform maintenance and service work efficiently and accurately
- Develop repair plans based on equipment condition and customer needs
- Provide excellent service from equipment intake to pickup
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding repairs and timelines
- Help customers feel confident and informed throughout the process
- Work closely with managers and fellow technicians
- Share information and coordinate repairs efficiently
- Support overall shop productivity and workflow
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Support shop security and loss prevention procedures
- Help ensure service quality and operational efficiency
We’re looking for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in fixing things correctly, and works well in a fast-paced team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on small engines and outdoor power equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to multitask during busy seasons
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities
- Customer-focused mindset
- Ability to lift and handle up to 70 lbs
- Ability to work in an active shop environment
