Backyard ADU's is looking for a highly qualified Small Home Advisor for their growing business. This is a Full Time, Mon-Fri position. Backyard ADU's Small Home Advisoris responsible for ensuring prospects become clients [when they are ready] and shepherding client projects from Backyard's initial interaction with them to move-in day.

This means the successful candidate must know a little bit about everything, have a keen sense for when their knowledge is lacking, the initiative to address this gap in knowledge and a knack for execution. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Daily Activities:

Manage customer relationships through email, Zoom, in-person, and phone calls. Clients must be contacted at least weekly. Keep Hubspot client and project cards up to date (project notes, project stage, etc.). Work with Backyard's internal team on your client's project. Prepare and review construction contracts. Guide clients through the home design process and budgeting process. Review & understand civil documentation, utility specifications and construction drawings. Help clients choose finishes. Help clients make cost/benefit decisions to meet their goals. Help clients set their project goals. Relay zoning rules to clients and help make decisions based on restrictions. Represent Backyard ADUs by coordinating and attending local events and nurturing local relationships.

Skills and Abilities:

Must be familiar with construction and renovation practices in residential or commercial construction. Must be familiar with zoning, permitting, and town practices. This can come from on-the-job experience OR extensive DIY experience. Must be familiar with building code and general building requirements for purposes of being an intermediary between the design team and client. This can be learned prior to starting work. Knowledge and ability to use word processing, spreadsheets (Excel and Google Sheets), managing files and records (Google Drive), and other procedures and terminology. Must be a fastidious note taker and/or pay close attention to detail. Over the course of the client relationship dozens of ideas are discussed, and it's important to remember them and know which should be included in a final construction contract. College degree preferred. Work or extensive personal experience in real estate or construction related field. Must come from a client-facing background. Consultative sales or advisory experience is preferred. Must have a proven track record of managing multiple complex projects at once.

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in ground up construction. 3+ years of experience in client management/sales role. College degree preferred. Work or extensive personal experience in real estate or construction related field. Must come from a client-facing background. Consultative sales or advisory experience is preferred. Must have a proven track record of managing multiple complex projects at once. Must live in their region. Able to work remotely and at client sites. Able to maintain deep empathy for the client in order to drive their focus on finding the best solutions. Able to develop a remote working environment. Willing to accept feedback, constructive criticism, and direction regarding yourroles and responsibilities and performance thereof. Excited for personal career growth.
