We are a staffing firm and are currently seeking a SQL Developer/SME for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Seattle, WA (Open for remote work but must be local to Seattle Metro area). Details of the position are as follows:

Type: Remote (Must reside in Seattle, WA area)
Client: Motorola US
Pay: $76.67–$82.15/hr
Duration: 3–6 Months (Contract)
Target Start Date: 07/13/2026
Shift: 8am-5pm PST

Job Description:
Seeking a Senior SQL Developer to support a high-profile modernization initiative focused on optimizing and scaling high-performance database environments supporting mission-critical on-premise solutions. This role requires deep hands-on expertise in SQL Server 2022, advanced T-SQL development, database performance engineering, and high availability architectures.
Responsibilities include designing and optimizing physical database structures, improving database object performance, supporting large transaction volumes, modernizing legacy SQL environments, and implementing secure role-based access controls. The consultant will contribute throughout the Agile development lifecycle, including technical specifications, development execution, sprint ownership, release support, and delivery coordination with QA and technical stakeholders.

Resume Submission Requirements:
  • Resume must include examples of prior work improving high-performance database objects
  • Demonstrated SQL development experience and/or implementation of database roles and permissions
  • Include a work sample, portfolio, GitHub repository, or equivalent deliverable on the final page of the resume

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree required in one of the following:

    • Computer Engineering
    • Information Technology

Required Skills
  • 5+ years of SQL Development experience
  • Expert-level experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2022
  • Advanced T-SQL development including high-performance stored procedures, UDFs, and triggers
  • Physical database design and storage optimization
  • SQL performance tuning using SQL Profiler, Extended Events, and Query Store
  • High Availability architecture support and optimization
  • Legacy database modernization and SQL feature refactoring
  • Database security administration including roles and permissions
  • Experience managing high-volume transactional database environments
  • Agile software development lifecycle experience
  • Portfolio/work sample demonstrating database optimization outcomes
Preferred Skills
  • Telecommunications industry experience
  • Defense industry experience
  • Experience supporting performance-critical on-premise platforms
  • Exposure to database modernization initiatives in enterprise environments
  • Background supporting scalable, high-availability production systems
