    Description

    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a dedicated SMT Line Lead to guide and support our Surface Mount Technology (SMT) line staff. This role is pivotal in providing leadership, supervision, and training to ensure that production and delivery activities align with customer requirements and organizational objectives.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Guide the team to achieve production goals by planning and scheduling work assignments, providing clear direction, and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
    • Identify and promptly address issues related to product quality, documentation, or process capability by escalating them to the leadership team as necessary.
    • Bridge communication between the leadership team, other departments, and the SMT line to facilitate smooth operations.
    • Conduct inspections in accordance with IPC-A-610 standards to maintain high-quality production outputs.
    • Utilize computer systems effectively for data capture and processing to ensure accurate record-keeping.
    • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on enhancing assembly processes and identifying opportunities for improvement.
    • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay abreast of industry standards and practices.
    • Collaborate with colleagues across various levels to foster a cooperative work environment.
    • Contribute to team efforts by undertaking additional tasks as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
    • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, with prior leadership experience in electronic circuit manufacturing preferred.
    • Familiarity with industry standards such as IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, and J-STD-001 is preferred.
    • Proven ability to lead a diverse team towards achieving collective goals.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • High attention to detail with the capability to follow and interpret work instructions accurately.
    • Experience in assembling and inspecting products using a microscope.
    • Comfortable with repetitive tasks and multi-step processes on a computer.
    • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident, compliant with US ITAR requirements.
    • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Must be able to sit or stand at workstations for extended periods.
    • Requires the ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
    • Effective interaction and communication with team members and subordinates are essential.

    This role is based in Stacy, and remote work is not offered.
