SMT Machine Operator

Starting Rate: $17.50/hour and up (based on experience)
Shift: 1st: Monday – Thursday: 5:45 AM – 4:30 PM
2nd Shift: Monday -Thursday: 4:30pm-3:15am

Job Summary

Operate electromechanical equipment related to the assembly of electronic circuit boards in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate electromechanical equipment used in assembling electronic circuit boards.

  • Set up and verify jobs using computer-generated setup sheets and fixture layout drawings.

  • Communicate technical data, error reports, and machine malfunctions to Quality and machine support teams.

  • Perform routine maintenance and clean-up of production equipment.

  • Report any part shortages prior to and during production runs.

  • Monitor assembly processes and coordinate with machine support to ensure defect targets are met.

  • Demonstrate lead operator capabilities.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Background screening and drug screening
  • Minimum of two years' experience operating electromechanical or CNC-type equipment.

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including prolonged sitting/standing and frequent bending and stretching.

  • Familiarity with electronic pick-and-place machines, wave soldering, water wash systems, and similar equipment.
