SMT Operator (Entry‑Level - Electronics Manufacturing)

Location: Fremont, CA

Pay: $21.00 per hour

Schedule: 1st Shift (Day Shift)

Job Overview

We are seeking an Entry‑Level SMT Operator to support our electronics manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and monitor equipment on an SMT (Surface Mount Technology) production line, including inspection of electronic assemblies using Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) systems. No prior SMT experience is required-training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and support SMT production line equipment
• Inspect SMT electronic assemblies using AOI equipment
• Identify and communicate defects to operators and supervisors
• Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge), board handling, and MSD procedures
• Verify workmanship and process compliance per work instructions
• Support ISO, quality standards, and 6S/Lean initiatives
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to perform repetitive, detail‑oriented work
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• No prior SMT or manufacturing experience required (paid training provided)
