Job Title: SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Technician
Pay Rate: $25-35/hr (DoE)
Location: Middletown, OH

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up, operate, and maintain SMT production equipment including pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, and solder paste printers.
- Perform machine programming, calibration, and changeovers to support production needs
- Inspect PCB assemblies to ensure quality and adherence to specifications and IPC standards
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimize downtime and improve efficiency
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to support continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate production, maintenance, and process documentation
- Follow all safety, cleanliness, and operational standards within the production environment
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification preferred)
- 2-3+ years of experience in SMT or electronics manufacturing
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, work instructions, and technical drawings
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE:
- Hands-on experience with SMT equipment (pick-and-place, reflow ovens, solder printers)
- Familiarity with IPC standards (e.g., IPC-A-610)
- Experience troubleshooting SMT equipment and production processes
- Understanding of PCB assembly and electronic manufacturing workflows
- Programming experience with PCB's
PREFERRED SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) systems
- Knowledge of solder paste printing and reflow profiling
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Experience working in high-volume production environments
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds as needed
- Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
