Job Summary

We are currently seeking skilled and team-oriented applicants for the following position: Snack Bar Lead - Catering. Under general direction employee may assume the lead role and provide general supervision of catered events.

  • Employee will review and maintain event records; participate in meetings and discussions; plan and organize; serve food and provide excellent customer service; perform event follow-up activities; maintain catering equipment and Dining Services facilities.
  • Duties will include planning and organizing catered events,
  • Requisitioning products and equipment,
  • Coordinating product pick-up and delivery,
  • Directing other food service employees,
  • Maintaining safety and sanitation standards.
  • Required skills: customer service, organization, communication, self-motivation.
  • This a is 11 month cyclic position with the possibility to pick up shifts during cyclic time off.

Where the hired candidate will begin within this range is dependent on education, experience, and skills.

Required Qualifications

  • Food Handler's Permit
  • One year experience in high volume or institutional food preparation and serving
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience delivering excellent customer service
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Demonstrated ability to apply a responsive and flexible approach that is supportive of the needs including universal access of our students, faculty, staff and the public

Preferred Qualifications

  • One (1) year of college or university food service experience preferred
  • One (1) year of catering experience preferred
  • One (1) year of fine dining experience preferred

Work Schedule Type Floating Work Schedule

40 hours per week. 2 consecutive days off. Daily hours may vary during a work week. Weekends and evenings may be part of the schedule. Please note that evening shift is eligible for a shift premium.
