Snowflake Data Engineers

Position: Snowflake Data Engineer
Location:  Pittsburgh, PA / NYC (4 days per week onsite)
Duration: 12+ month contract

This role will help define and drive the data strategy for a dedicated data platform within a contact center environment. The person will be responsible for connecting the dots between data sources, data consumption, and business outcomes, ensuring data is structured and accessible for downstream users and AI-driven solutions.
The environment is heavily focused on Snowflake, AWS, data mesh architecture, and AI-enabled data consumption.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive data strategy and architecture across the platform.
• Design how data is consumed by business users, analytics teams, and AI agents.
• Work across multiple pods/teams while serving as the strategic lead for a dedicated data pod.
• Own end-to-end data flow, from raw ingestion through curated datasets and downstream AI use cases.
• Establish data governance and best practices.
• Support both batch and event-driven data processing.
• Collaborate closely with a team of approximately 6-7 resources (mix of internal employees and contractors).
• Operate effectively in an Agile environment and participate in sprint planning/delivery.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong Snowflake architecture and strategy experience
• AWS cloud expertise
• Experience designing modern data platforms and data architecture
• Data mesh experience
• API integration knowledge
• Batch ingestion experience
• Data governance experience
• Understanding of how data is consumed by business users and AI solutions
• Agile/Scrum experience and familiarity with sprint-based delivery
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and proactively drive outcomes

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• AI/Agentic AI knowledge
• Experience with AI tools such as Claude, Windsurf, or similar platforms
• Google Cloud exposure
• Contact center industry experience

Industry Knowledge Preferred
Experience supporting contact center or customer service environments, including familiarity with metrics such as:

• Average Handle Time (AHT)
• Call center operational reporting
• Customer interaction data
