Introduction
We are seeking a motivated professional for a contract engagement with our Data Engineering Support and Operations team. This role will provide day-to-day operational support for our enterprise Snowflake environments, including handling user access requests, monitoring platform costs and usage, and assisting with performance optimization. The ideal candidate brings 2-3 years of IT experience with exposure to cloud data platforms, intermediate Snowflake knowledge, and familiarity with SQL, Python, Linux, and AWS.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2-3 years of IT experience with exposure to cloud data platforms, databases, or data engineering environments
- Intermediate experience with Snowflake administration, configuration, or support
- Foundational knowledge of SQL and database concepts
- Familiarity with Linux and Python scripting for basic automation tasks
- Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Previous Snowflake Administrator certification or training
- Familiarity with BI/reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Business Objects
- Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform or similar tools
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day Tier 1 operational support for Snowflake environments, including handling support tickets for access requests and user provisioning
- Monitor Snowflake costs and usage through dashboards and resource monitors, identifying opportunities for optimization
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide production support for Snowflake and related data platforms
