Kforce has a client in need of a Snowflake Data Platform Operations Engineer. Responsibilities:
  • Provide first-level support for Snowflake platform incidents, triage, and resolution
  • Monitor platform health and performance using observability tools (e.g., Splunk, Grafana)
  • Develop and maintain operational runbooks and recovery procedures
  • Support disaster recovery and operational readiness activities
  • Manage Snowflake objects (databases, schemas, roles) and lifecycle processes
  • Administer IAM, including user/role management and integration with enterprise tools
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and implement updates
  • Manage incidents, changes, and service requests through ITSM tools
  • Create documentation and training materials for operational support
  • Drive continuous improvement of platform stability and operations

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in Snowflake platform operations or support
  • Snowflake certification (e.g., SnowPro Core) preferred
  • Strong SQL skills and basic scripting (Python or Bash)
  • Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms (Azure/GCP acceptable)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Bitbucket) and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible)
  • Experience with Linux systems and batch scheduling tools
  • Knowledge of ITSM processes and tools (e.g., ServiceNow)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
