Salary Range: $45- $50 an hour on W2

Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Snowflake Lead with AI experience to design, build, and optimize enterprise-scale cloud data platforms. The ideal candidate will lead engineering teams, architect scalable data solutions, implement governance and security best practices, and drive performance optimization across Snowflake environments. Experience in AI-driven data solutions and modern cloud platforms is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Design
Design and build scalable enterprise data warehouses, data lakes, and data pipelines using Snowflake, Python, and dbt.
Develop robust, high-performance cloud-native data architectures.
Define data engineering best practices and technical standards.
Team Leadership
Lead onsite and offshore data engineering teams.
Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards.
Mentor junior engineers and support their technical growth.
Drive technical discussions and solution design reviews.
Performance & Cost Optimization
Optimize SQL queries and Snowflake workloads.
Manage virtual warehouse sizing and resource allocation.
Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure costs.
Improve overall platform performance and scalability.
Data Governance & Security
Implement role-based access control (RBAC).
Configure masking policies and data security controls.
Ensure compliance with enterprise governance and security standards.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and clients.
Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
Experience
12+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Database Development.
10+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake.
Experience leading enterprise-scale data platform implementations.
Technical Skills
Strong expertise in:
Snowflake
Advanced SQL
Python
dbt (Core & Cloud)
Git and CI/CD pipelines
Cloud Platforms
Hands-on experience with one or more of the following:
AWS (S3, Lambda)
Azure (ADF)
Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Data Modeling
Strong understanding of:
Dimensional Modeling (Star & Snowflake Schemas)
Data Vault Modeling
AI Experience
Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities with modern data platforms.
Exposure to AI-enabled analytics, automation, or GenAI solutions is preferred.
Leadership & Soft Skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong requirement gathering and solution design capabilities.
Proven experience leading distributed engineering teams.
Ability to mentor team members and drive technical excellence.
