Soccer Junior Varsity Head Coach Girls

Department: Athletics Reports to: Athletics Assistant Principal Placement: Extracurricular Salary Schedule (experience considered is for paid coaching experience only) Term: See AIA Season Calendar

Position Summary: Provide coaching services for the Junior Varsity Girls Soccer team.

Essential Functions:

• Provide direct supervision of students, auxiliary or assistant coaches and volunteer coaches .
• Organize and schedule practice sessions on a regular basis to develop the athletes' greatest potential .
• Apply discipline in a firm and positive manner.
• Emphasize student safety
• Obtain appropriate training and certification to transport students in the white buses. Training must be completed within two weeks of beginning employment.
• Perform all duties in accordance with state and federal law and TUHSD Governing Board polici es.

Training and Experience:

• Successful experience working with students.
• Must meet all background check requirements.
• Prior coaching experience preferred.

Licensing/Certification Requirements:

• National Federation of State High Schools Association (NFHSA) certification.
• Valid DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Valid Arizona teacher or Substitute certification.
• Obtain appropriate training and certification to transport students in the white buses. Training must be completed within two weeks of beginning employment.

Knowledge of:

• Sport being coached.
