Our client, a leading Consumer Goods Manufacturing Company is looking for Social Content Specialist and This is for an initial duration of 12 MonthsContract – Remote Role

Position Type: Hourly Contract Position (W2 only)

• Position is 100% remote, BUT looking for someone local to either Chicago, IL or Greater NY Metro area. They would like someone to be onsite about 1x a quarter for business critical meetings and must be in one of these locations.
• Client will review candidates that are not local to either of these two areas, but if non-local they must be on the east coast!
• Please be prepared to provide a portfolio showcasing your best design work or standout social content that demonstrates your creative impact
• Resumes should include candidates portfolio link at the top, under candidate name and location.
• Manager would like folks who have more UGC / creator-platform experience

The ideal candidate would have: 

• Strong TikTok / Reels experience
• Work that feels platform and not overly polished
• Experience with creators / influencers / UGC workflows
• Ability to contribute to content & creator briefs
• Recent short-form video work
• Examples of lo-fi / UGC-style content
• Strong social-first editing skills
• Ideally some proof of engagement or performance for past content

Social Content Specialist 

• Location: Greater Chicago Metro Area or Greater New York Metro Area (Remote/Hybrid)
• Schedule: 40 hours/week
• Travel: Up to 25% (not likely that much) maybe once a quarter
• Manager would like folks who have more UGC / creator-platform experience

• Experience with creators / influencers / UGC workflows
• Ability to contribute to content & creator briefs
• Recent short-form video work
• Examples of lo-fi / UGC-style content
• Strong social-first editing skills
• Ideally some proof of engagement or performance for past content

Key Responsibilities
Content Creation (90%) 

• Create thumb-stopping content that resonates with diverse audiences across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook
• Design static graphics and edit short-form videos using brand guidelines and current trends
• Collaborate with internal teams and agency partners to align content with brand strategy and campaign goals
• Stay ahead of social trends, platform updates, and emerging formats to inform content strategy
• Support the creation of social toolkits, templates, and creative briefs

Community Management (10%) 

• Monitor and engage with audiences across owned social channels using social media management tools (e.g., Sprinklr)
• Respond to key comments and messages in a timely, brand-appropriate manner
• Flag emerging issues, trends, or opportunities to internal teams

Qualifications 

• 2+ years of experience in social media content creation
• Experience in community management is a plus
• Strong graphic design and video editing skills (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, etc.)
• Deep understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices
• Experience with social media management tools (Sprinklr preferred)
• Excellent copywriting and communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, design, or a related field preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus

Working Conditions 

• Remote work from the Greater Chicago or Greater New York metro areas
• Must have reliable internet access
• Occasional evening or weekend work may be required based on content needs or community escalations
• Travel up to 25% may be required for content capture, team collaboration, or event coverage

Compensation: The hourly rate for this position is between $26-$28 per hour.
