We are seeking a dynamic, story-driven Social and Digital Media Manager to lead the discovery, development, and distribution of compelling narratives that bring our mission and community to life. This role is ideal for a creative communicator who thrives on finding the human, visual, and emotional threads that connect audiences to our work across social media, our website, email, and newsletters.The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and hands‑on content creator who can identify stories across departments and translate them into engaging, platform‑appropriate content. This role requires an understanding of digital storytelling, audience engagement, and the evolving media landscape. You'll collaborate closely with the Director of Marketing and Communications and other internal stakeholders to shape and share our voice across channels. The department works at a fast pace and very collaboratively, an environment that will suit a strong team player who wants to own significant responsibility for communication channels that are ever‑growing in importance.Key ResponsibilitiesStory Discovery & DevelopmentProactively identify and pitch story ideas from across the organization including programs, staff, visitors, and the landscape itselfConduct interviews, gather assets, and craft narratives that resonate with diverse audiencesMaintain a content calendar that reflects seasonal, strategic, and mission‑aligned storytelling opportunitiesContent Creation & Channel ManagementCreate original, high‑quality content (written, visual, and video) tailored to each platformManage and grow our presence on social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTubeCollaborate on the development of print and digital materials, ensuring consistency in voice and visual identityAudience, Influencer & Partner EngagementCommunicate with social media followers, including timely responses to queriesImprove customer engagement and promote social media campaigns, including advertisingCultivate relationships with influencers, content collaborators, and partner organizations to amplify our reach and impactPhotography & VideoCapture and edit photos and videos that support storytelling across platformsManage external photographers and videographers as needed, including scheduling and creative directionWebsite & Email MarketingMaintain and update website content, including program highlights, seasonal updates, and new storytelling featuresOversee the email marketing calendar, crafting engaging campaigns and analyzing performance to optimize future outreachAnalytics & StrategyResponsible for analyzing performance metrics and reporting on digital channels using tools like Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, and email marketing platforms to optimize content delivery and audience engagementWork with the Director to develop and implement strategic content plans aligned with organizational goals, using insights from audience behavior, campaign performance, and industry trends to guide decision‑makingQualificationsBachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field3–5 years of experience in social media, digital storytelling, or content marketingProven ability to craft compelling narratives across multiple formats and platformsStrong writing, editing, and visual storytelling skillsMetrics‑driven social media mind with eye for creativityExperience with content creation tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, video editing software)Familiarity with CMS platforms, email marketing tools, and social media analyticsComfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, mission‑driven environmentFlexible schedule with availability for occasional evening and weekend eventsSalary And BenefitsThe salary range is $65,000 to $70,000 plus benefits including: medical, dental, vision insurance; paid time off; 401k, pension plan and life insurance, Hybrid work available after 4 weeks of employment.Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Wave HillWave Hill is an equal opportunity employer.
