The WEBS Program Teacher at the middle school level is responsible for delivering specialized instruction and behavioral supports to students identified for the WEBS Program. This position focuses on fostering students' social-emotional development, behavioral regulation, and academic progress within a structured, supportive environment. The WEBS Teacher collaborates closely with building staff, families, and ECKCE personnel to ensure students receive appropriate services in alignment with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and the principles of Least Restrictive Environment (LRE).

Key Responsibilities: Provide direct instruction in academic, social-emotional, and behavioral skill development aligned with IEP goals and classes required per district policy for students in grades 6-8. Implement evidence-based instructional strategies and behavioral interventions designed to meet the unique needs of middle school students in the WEBS Program. Differentiate instruction to accommodate a wide range of learning and behavioral needs.

Behavioral Intervention and Support: Develop, implement, and monitor Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and other individualized supports. Utilize proactive classroom management strategies and de-escalation techniques to support student regulation. Respond to student crises in accordance with district protocols, including the safe and appropriate use of Emergency Safety Interventions (ESI) when necessary.

IEP Implementation and Compliance: Ensure fidelity in the implementation of all IEP components, including accommodations, modifications, and related services. Collect and maintain accurate data on student progress toward IEP goals and behavioral targets. Participate in IEP meetings and contribute meaningful input regarding student performance and needs.

Collaboration: Work collaboratively with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, school psychologists, social workers, related service providers, and administrators to support student success. Partner with families to maintain consistent communication regarding student progress, concerns, and successes. Collaborate with the WEBS Administrator and ECKCE staff to ensure alignment of programming and supports.

Classroom Environment: Establish and maintain a structured, predictable, and supportive classroom environment that promotes safety, engagement, and positive behavior. Teach and reinforce social-emotional learning (SEL) competencies, including self-regulation, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

Data Collection and Progress Monitoring: Use data-driven decision-making to adjust instruction and behavioral supports. Maintain documentation related to behavior incidents, interventions, and student outcomes in accordance with district and state requirements.

Compliance and Procedures: Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, including IDEA requirements and district policies. Ensure proper documentation and timely completion of required reports, including ESI documentation and parent notifications.

Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional learning related to behavior intervention, trauma-informed practices, and special education best practices. Maintain required certifications, including training in district-approved crisis prevention and intervention strategies.

Communication: Maintain regular, professional communication with families, caregivers, and team members. Provide timely updates regarding student progress and any significant behavioral or academic concerns.

Support of Paraprofessionals: Provide direction, coaching, and support to assigned paraprofessional staff to ensure effective implementation of instructional and behavioral strategies. Model best practices and ensure consistency in student support.

Transition Support and LRE: Support student transitions within and beyond the WEBS Program, including reintegration into less restrictive settings when appropriate. Collaborate with teams to ensure decisions align with Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) principles.

General:Perform other duties as assigned by the WEBS Program Administrator, or ECKCE Director and Assistant Director of Special Services.
