The Social Media and Student Engagement Assistant supports the TRIO Upward Bound Program through social media management, digital content creation, and program communications. The assistant will help promote program activities, highlight student achievements, and assist staff with outreach efforts.
Responsibilities include creating and posting content for program social media platforms, designing promotional materials such as flyers and graphics, and assisting with website updates. The assistant will help maintain an active online presence by creating and documenting social media content related to program events, workshops, and student opportunities.
The assistant will collaborate with TRIO staff to develop recruitment and informational materials in both digital and print formats. Limited administrative support may also be required, including basic document preparation and assistance with maintaining organized student files.
The position includes collaborative support for program events and workshops, such as assisting with promotion, student communication, and preparation of materials.
The assistant will work directly with 50+ high school students enrolled in the Upward Bound program, requiring strong relationship-building and communication skills. Primary duties will occur at TRIO Upward Bound target high schools (Central, Hillcrest, and Parkview) throughout the week rather than on the Missouri State University campus.
